Foshay International Set To Begin

This coming week riders including Canadian Olympian, Jessica Phoenix of Cannington, Ontario and competitors from across eastern Canada and the US are converging on Foshay International for one of the best keep secrets in equestrian sport.

Jemseg, New Brunswick, the event location is only seven hours from Boston and located on the beautiful Saint John River with picturesque views is also just two hours from the US border and USEA Area I.

Just 10 minutes off the Trans Canada Highway. Foshay offers a destination event with the stunning backdrop of the Saint John River with the cross-country, designed and built by Canada’s Jay Hamby running alongside the Saint John River giving the event both beach and boat access. Foshay is the only FEI event we can think of that is accessible by land or by water, and we are hoping to see more boats in 2019.

Foshay International offers a total of $25,000 in prize money gives riders the opportunity to win back your entry fee and take home extra cash.

The event will be offering two FEI divisions, CCI1, CCI2-L and two National Eventing divisions EV 105 plus a new Preliminary division. In addition, activities will be continuing daily through until Monday with our Foshay International Jumper Classic. This show will be an EC Bronze/Gold show and will run after Stadium Jumping on Sunday and during the day through Monday afternoon.

Admission is free for spectators for Foshay International and lots of activities the whole family could enjoy are happening from Wednesday, August 28th with a Foshay Talk through Labor Day Monday, September 2nd with the Foshay Jumper Classic.

Not a horse person? Still lots of great reasons to attend. Beyond the great equestrian competition which begins on Thursday morning and the Grimross Brewing Co. tent on cross-Green Diamond Equipment Ltdcountry Saturday for everyone there is the Foshay Country Market is a vendor fair under a marquis tent overlooking the site that features artisans, tack stores, and tasty food vendors plus live demos in the Green Diamond Equipment Ltd. playground where you can come try things out and talk to your maritime John Deere dealership. The market will be open daily.
